SBPC and AFR Urge Industry to Provide Relief to Private Student Loan Borrowers During Coronavirus Pandemic

In letters to a dozen large private student loan companies, the SBPC and Americans for Financial Reform, urge the companies to take steps to mitigate harm to private student loan borrowers caused by the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.

With private student loan borrowers excluded from relief by Washington’s emergency economic stimulus legislation, advocates urge the largest student lenders to act quickly to protect borrowers.
