August 3, 2023 | WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Student Borrower Protection Center (SBPC) and Protect Borrowers Action (PBA) announced that both organizations will join the ‘Just Majority’ Supreme Court accountability and reform campaign.
Statement from Mike Pierce, Executive Director of the SBPC and PBA:
“The Supreme Court has been captured by wealthy special interests. As we saw in the partisan decision ripping away critical relief from tens of millions of borrowers and their families, some justices are putting special interests and politics ahead of the law and the facts. The Student Borrower Protection Center and Protect Borrowers Action are joining the Just Majority coalition to advocate for a Court where everyone, not just the rich and powerful, has a fair shot.”

The Just Majority coalition, whose slogan is ‘Democracy Demands A Fair And Ethical Court,’ advocates for Supreme Court reforms, including expansion.
