The UC Irvine Law Review issued a new special edition of its journal dedicated exclusively to exploring the intersection of student debt, consumer protection, and the law. This edition of the Law Review is being produced as part of the Student Loan Law Initiative (SLLI)—SBPC’s partnership with the UC Irvine School of Law. Together these articles will further SLLI’s efforts to produce foundational legal research to help people better understand and address the needs of the tens of millions of people struggling with student loan debt.
The articles in the Law Review, written by leading academics and student loan experts, examine a variety of issues affecting borrowers and the student loan system, including the role of states in providing market oversight, protections for private student loan borrowers, and challenges surrounding loan forgiveness.
