On Wednesday, July 12 at 5 PM ET the Student Borrower Protection Center, Young Invincibles, Student Debt Crisis Center, NAACP Youth and College, and the National Consumer Law Center will co-host a virtual briefing to discuss the recent unjust U.S. Supreme Court decision blocking President Biden’s student debt relief plan and the impact it will have on 43 million student loan borrowers across the nation.
The briefing will also provide an overview of President Biden’s announcement to use the Higher Education Act as an alternative authority to enact relief and how to ensure borrowers are front and center as the process moves forward.
This briefing is free and intended for the general public.
